Early Fire Hazard Properties<\/em> – Flammability Testing of your product to Test Code: T18B<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

AS\/NZS 1530.3-1999……..<\/strong>Simultaneous determination of Ignitability, Flame propagation, Heat release & Smoke release (Early Fire Hazard Properties)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Un sp\u00e9cimen mont\u00e9 verticalement est amen\u00e9 \u00e0 une position de 850 mm en face d'un radiant. Toutes les 30 secondes, l'\u00e9chantillon est rapproch\u00e9 de la source de chaleur en une s\u00e9rie d'\u00e9tapes. Si l'inflammation ne s'est pas produite apr\u00e8s 12,5 minutes, l'\u00e9chantillon reste \u00e0 175 mm du panneau pendant 7,5 minutes suppl\u00e9mentaires (soit une dur\u00e9e d'exposition totale maximale de 20 minutes) ou jusqu'\u00e0 ce que l'inflammation se produise, selon ce qui se produit en premier.<\/p>\n

Pendant l'exposition, une petite flamme pilote \u00e0 gaz est maintenue \u00e0 15 mm devant l'\u00e9chantillon. Cette flamme pilote enflamme les gaz combustibles \u00e9mis, mais pas la surface de l'\u00e9chantillon. Lorsque l'inflammation se produit, le mouvement vers l'avant est arr\u00eat\u00e9. Le temps moyen d'inflammation pour tous les \u00e9chantillons, soustrait de 20, d\u00e9termine l'indice d'IGNITABILIT\u00c9.<\/p>\n

During exposure a radiometer is used to measure the heat radiated from the specimen. There is a steady increase as the specimen moves towards the heat source, followed by a rapid increase at ignition.<\/p>\n

The recorded radiometer output is later analysed to determine:<\/p>\n

a)<\/em><\/strong>          The rate of rise after ignition by measuring the time taken for the radiation to rise by 1.4 kW\/m2 from its value prior to ignition; and<\/em><\/p>\n

b)<\/em><\/strong>          The area under the radiation curve for the next two minutes after ignition which is converted to a heat evolved value in kJ\/m2.<\/em><\/p>\n

The results of all specimens tested are averaged and the SPREAD OF FLAME INDEX and HEAT EVOLVED INDEX <\/em>are determined from tables given in the standard.<\/p>\n

Three supplementary tests are necessary if the results for the first six specimens fall outside prescribed limits of variability.<\/p>\n
