बटन/सिक्का बैटरी परीक्षण

A set of safety standards relating to the use of Button batteries introduced by the Australian Government was mandated in Australia from June 2022.  This introduction of legislation has now been echoed in a number of countries. The size and shape of these batteries make it easy for them to become lodged in a child’s airway when swallowed.  If leakage is present, tissue damage to major organs can occur; and they can also emit a voltage if placed in an orifice such as the ear or nose.

ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उपभोक्ता वस्तु (बटन/सिक्का बैटरी वाले उत्पाद) सुरक्षा मानक 2020 के तहत यह अनिवार्य किया गया है कि किसी भी बटन या सिक्का बैटरी को पर्याप्त चेतावनी लेबल के साथ बेचा जाए ताकि उपभोक्ताओं को सचेत किया जा सके और जनता को शिक्षित किया जा सके; और यह भी निर्धारित किया गया है कि प्रयोगशाला परीक्षण किए जाएं ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि बैटरी युक्त वस्तुओं के उचित उपयोग या दुरुपयोग के बावजूद, बैटरी तक पहुंच न हो सके।.
