The Australian Standard AS 4254.1-2021 provides the requirements for the performance testing, manufacture, and installation of flexible ducting for air-handling systems in buildings.
AWTA Product Testing has decades of experience with carrying out the performance tests specified in the Standard that include:
- Fire Hazard Properties to AS/NZS 1530.3 and the UL 181 burn test
- Mould growth and humidity
- Temperature (low and high)
- Puncture
- Static Load
- Impact
- Pressure
- Collapse
- Tension
- Thermal Properties
AWTA Product Testing is NATA accredited for all tests with the exception of Mould Growth and Humidity (which is subcontracted to a specialized laboratory). These tests cover those required by the National Construction Code as well important quality parameters for the product.
