AS 3789.6-1996 - Textile Testing for Healthcare Facilities & Institutions

The scope of the standard covers cotton, cotton/synthetic and synthetic textiles for health care and institutional uses.

AWTA Product Testing has reviewed and packaged tests for full compliance testing, appropriate to the end use and according to this standard. This price revision is effective from 1 July 2014 and prices are valid until 30 June 2015.

The laboratory has offered testing of healthcare textiles for many years and has full National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation for AS 3789.6. This adds value to your test report when contesting healthcare and instituational tenders.

The new prices are applied to full compliance to an Item as tabled in the standard. For example, the complete selection of tests applicable to: Item Pe/C3 of Table 2.3.

The new package prices exclusive of GST as follows (2014):

• Table 2.3, Item Pe/C3, white, $463
• Table 2.3, Item Pe/C3, dyed, $705
• Table 2.5, Items T1 and T2, white, $612
• Table 2.5, Items T1 and T2, dyed, $846

The service time for the packages remains at 16 working days to accommodate the colour fastness to light exposure. Colourfastness to light is included in the package prices for white fabrics.
