Is your protective clothing - Formaldehyde free?

The recent discovery of formaldehyde in protective clothing and related media reports on chemicals present in garments - has raised concerns on clothing being chemical free? AWTA Product Testing can assist and provide testing services on protective clothing and other textile products.

Formaldehyde is used in a variety of textile products, typically fabrics, blankets, and apparel that have been treated to gain permanent press and stain resistance, and can lead to temporary skin irritations, allergic reactions, irritation of the nose and eyes.
